The Good: An odd title today, but once you finish reading it will make sense. A short while ago I detailed the INTERPOL investigation into the molestation of three boys in Thailand. The molester of these boys was identified as Wayne Nelson Corliss, and he was arrested at his home in New Jersey last week.
You may be wondering why I am rehashing old news. The reason is this; when police entered Corliss’ home they found more child pornography photos on his computer. This, along with the previously exposed photos of him with the three boys has led U.S. District Court Judge Schipp to sentence Corliss to be held in jail until his trial. This is a great thing for me, because knowing that this man has no dollar amount that could bail him out gives me my jollies. For once I hope there is a long long wait until trial.
The Bad: A commercial for an ice cream company got me to thinking about bees. This year the population of America’s bees is declining. The Apiary Inspectors of America (basically the Better Business Bureau of bees) showed a loss of about 32 percent of commercial hives. While the exact cause is not known, a majority of them are contributed to the misunderstood disease called Colony Collapse Disorder. What do bees have to do with anything? Imagine if we lost a third of all the grain in America, the famine it would lead to. Bees are just as vital, pollinating many of the flowers and plants that we consume on a daily basis. If you don’t want a substantial increase in artificial flavors and a hike in organic prices, then turn your attention to the bees. Let’s try to save them.

Great post - makes me feel jolly that they got him too.
I’ve been reading about the bee situation - it is becoming a problem in Europe too.
