Don’t worry, I’m not turning into one of those Miley Cyrus fanatics (Miley Mates?) who mob the mall for each new piece of Miley-branded memorabilia. I am just writing this post to bring attention to something I just heard about, Wax Miley. Madame Tussauds New York revealed a wax model of the majestic Miley two days ago, to the sequels of hordes of fans. This is just another accomplishment on the resume of this Disney actor. She has already been on a concert tour and successfully plays two people on her television show. Miley certainly is the dream of every little girl
Now for my readers who aren’t in the under 14 category, I have something to say. Have you noticed the Disney model? This path that Disney kids take from nothing to fame is astounding and has been in the works for years. It started with Brittany Spears and Justin Timberlake. The Mickey Mousers worked their way into the spotlight after discarding Disney and made their way to fame (and some annulled marriages and scandals, but that is another story). Then came Lohan, my Parent Trap favorite, who worked her way up the Disney totem pole through Disney movies. Her wholesome and all-natural appeal is what made so many people love her, and then she blossomed into this singer/actress that so many had to gawk at. Disney also turned out Raven, Hilary Duff, and now Miley through the same movie/TV/singing equation.
Now while I cannot fault Disney, or these girls, it is my hope that the curse of the Disney kid is not carried into eternity. These girls have become role models, they need to keep their noses clean and grow wholesomely with the generation growing with them.
